The Holidays Are Here at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Seasonal favorites, new savory flavors available for a limited time

LEBANON, TENN (November 8, 2010) – ‘Tis the season to break away from the holiday bustle, gather with family and friends around the fireplace, and enjoy the hearty holiday menu offerings available at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® November 8 through January 2.

“The holidays are all about gathering together and making memories over warm, home cooked meals, usually prepared by mom or grandma,” said Cracker Barrel Chef Bill Kintzler. “Whether home is just around the corner or miles away, our holiday menu brings those hearty, comforting tastes of the holidays straight from home to our table.”

Breakfast Features – Served All Day!
For a fresh, yet festive breakfast, try the Wholesome Mornin’ Sampler. They put fresh chopped pineapple in a low-fat vanilla yogurt, and top it with a honey oat granola mix with almonds plus fresh pineapple and orange wedge. It’s served with a fresh-baked cranberry-orange muffin and two farm fresh Grade A eggs, prepared just the way you like ’em, and your choice of thick-sliced, hickory-smoked bacon, smoked sausage patties, or turkey sausage patties, for only $6.99.

It just wouldn’t be the holidays without the sweet taste of cinnamon. For a seasonal start to the day, try the new Cinnamon French Toast Breakfast. They take three slices of sweet cinnamon bread, dip them in eggs, and grill them to a golden brown. Then they’re layered with cinnamon filling and topped with cream cheese icing and real butter. It’s all served with two Grade A eggs, cooked to order, plus your choice of thick-sliced, hickory-smoked bacon, or smoked sausage patties for only $7.29. For a smaller appetite, try the Cinnamon French Toast only for $5.99.

Lunch/Dinner Features – Served Daily Starting at 11 a.m.
For those guests trying to eat lighter amidst the feast of holiday fare, the Orchard Grilled Chicken Salad is sticking around for a second season to offer a lighter option. They take marinated, grilled chicken tenderloin, thick-cut, hickory-smoked bacon, and blue cheese crumbles with crisp apple strips and red onions tossed in a cider glaze, and place it all on top of a mix of fresh greens. It’s served with a made-from-scratch grilled corn muffin and a country pepper vinaigrette dressing on the side all for $7.99.

For a taste of mom’s home cookin’ at the holidays, try the new Cider-Braised Roast Pork. They start with a lightly seasoned pork shoulder, slow-cooked until fork tender, with slices of Gala apples, dried cranberries, pecans, and sweet apple cider glaze. It’s served with two country vegetables and made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins for just $8.99.

Finish off that savory meal with a sweet treat. For a limited time, enjoy a slice of one of four varieties of fresh-baked Cracker Barrel Pies topped with premium vanilla ice cream for only $2.79. Choose from Chocolate Pecan, Apple Pecan Streusel, Pecan and No Sugar Added Apple Pie. Or warm up the holidays at your home with a whole pie for just $7.99.

Looking for a quick family meal with that home-cooked flavor? This holiday season, take home a slow-cooked Cracker Barrel spiral-sliced ham. It’s just the right recipe for entertaining friends and family. All you have to do is heat and serve. Try the Country ham for $36.99 or Sugar-Cured ham for $39.99. Or take a complete meal home with our country-sized meals to-go. Choose from one of three entrees, including roast beef, meatloaf, and chicken n’ dumplins along with any three sides, plus biscuits, corn muffins or a loaf of sourdough bread – enough to serve six all for $44.99.
